Students (target grades 4th-6th) will be instructed by high school members of FIRST Robotics Competition Team 5511: Cortechs Robotics. Camp instructors have previous experience, mentoring over two dozen FIRST LEGO League teams in the past four years! Students (target grades 4th-6th) will be instructed by high school members of FIRST Robotics Competition Team 5511: Cortechs Robotics. Camp instructors have previous experience, mentoring over two dozen FIRST LEGO League teams in the past four years! Adult supervisors will be present to ensure safety throughout your camper’s attendance. All of the team’s hardware tools (drills, saws, etc.) will be closed off and made inaccessible to the campers in order to further ensure safety.

In this camp, students will be tasked with creating a robot to accomplish specified tasks, such as following a black line and completing an obstacle course. Instructors will facilitate this process using FIRST Core Values (Discovery, Innovation, Impact, Inclusion, Teamwork, and Fun), the basics of the engineering design process, block programming with LEGO EV3 and NXT, and allow for students to exercise and develop various soft skills by working in teams.

Cortechs Robotics will be holding half-day camps Monday-Friday at our build space (600 Gathering Park Circle, Cary, NC) on the following dates
- Session 1: June 19-23 from 1-4pm
- Session 2: June 26-30 from 1-4pm
