Community outreach is an important part of our team and a large part of the values of FIRST.
Cortechs Robotics works to inspire and empower younger students to pursue STEM activities and continue to innovate. In the last three years, Cortechs has started 13 FLL Challenge and Explore teams and has mentored 8 additional teams in order to spread the magic of STEM and FIRST values.
Throughout the pandemic, Cortechs worked to ensure that students received quality education and kept their interest in STEM alive. We hosted STEM Fridays, a completely remote weekly program in which students all over NC completed hands-on STEM activities with household materials.
Cortechs has also held multiple fairs in years past including the MEGA STEM Fair and the Delta Carousel STEM Fair to keep students engaged through the use of many hands-on activities.
Cortechs is committed to improving our community through working with local partners. Community centers and local organizations are the key to our success and offer us a direct line to the community. Not only does this allow us to connect with students all over North Carolina, but it also enables us to impart our values and leave our mark on the community as we work to foster a more inclusive and diverse world of STEM.
